Bangladesh: Café siege mastermind killed in shootout

The attack on Holey Artisan Bakery killed 30 people – and stunned the upscale neighborhood in the capital Dhaka.

Bangladesh police have killed a man they said was a top commander of a group that has carried out several acts of religious violence.

Police said Nurul Islam Marzan opened fire when stopped at a checkpoint, and later died in the shootout that ensued.
