Since the formation of the cyber tribunal in the year 2013, more than 4,500 cases have been tabulated with it. While there is a hike in the number of cases, it is seen that most of the suspects of these cases are acquitted.

Previously, there had been only one cybercrime tribunal in Dhaka. And this year, seven more of the tribunals were formulated to reach all the divisions.

In 2014, with the tribunal 33 cases were tabulated as per the record and in 2019, the annual number increased gradually to 1,189. In 2020, amidst the pandemic, 1,128 cases were filed by people and for this year, 447 cases were filed until March
