Big beef cooking in the old East Pakistan – Chui jhal mangso or Chui spice beef curry is a unique preparation of beef in Bangladesh with some roots and spices. Big pieces of beef boiled in firewood oven with lots of spices and the spice that they use is mainly of the roots and stems of a creeper plant. Well, it was really spicy, but yummy! By the way, Bangladesh was once East Pakistan (from 1947 to 1971).
ബംഗ്ലാദേശിലെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ വീഡിയോ ആണ് ഇത്, പക്ഷെ ഇപ്രാവശ്യം ഖുൽന എന്ന സ്ഥലത്തെ ഒരു ഹോട്ടലിൽ നിന്ന് തുടങ്ങാം എന്ന് കരുതി. ഇവിടെ സ്പെഷ്യൽ എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ചുയി ജാൽ എന്ന ഒരു വിഭവമാണ്. അത് ഒരു വള്ളിച്ചെടിയുടെ വേരും തണ്ടും ഇട്ട് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ബീഫിന്റെ വിഭവമാണ് കേട്ടോ. വലിയ ബീഫിന്റെ കഷ്ണങ്ങളും നല്ല എരിവും – അതാണ് ഈ ചുയി ജാൽ എന്ന വിഭവത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകത.

After enjoying Chui Jhal Mangso from Khulna we decided to try food from another restaurant – grilled fish. Though we had grilled fish from many places in India, this was good as well. We enjoyed the taste of spices used on the fish there.
ചുയി ജാൽ രുചി ഒക്കെ ആസ്വദിച്ചതിനു ശേഷം ഞങ്ങൾ പോയത് ഖുൽനയിൽ തന്നെയുള്ള ഒരു ചുട്ട മീൻ രുചിയിടത്തിലേക്കാണ്. നാട്ടിൽ ഇഷ്ടം പോലെ ചുട്ടമീൻ ഒക്കെ കഴിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതുകൊണ്ട് – ഈ രുചി എനിക്ക് അത്ര പുതുമ ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നില്ല. പക്ഷെ, നല്ല രുചി തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു ചുട്ട മീനിലെതും.
