A police investigation remains underway into shootings that left five people — including three children and the shooter — dead in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. on Monday evening.
Though information on the identities of those involved has not been released, local authorities have described what happened as a tragic case of intimate partner violence and not random acts of violence.
Neighbour to the victims, Robert Lafave said Wednesday “We don’t see this level of insanity” in the northern Ontario town, while others suggested the gunman was not the “type of guy.”
