Synopsis:::
Upalabdhi’ is the story of Raju’s realization of the truth of life. The story depicts how his life undergoes a transformation. As a child Raju was a bright and intelligent boy. But as he grew up bad company led him astray. He became a menace in the society. A name everybody feared. He didn’t mend his ways despite his mother’s requests. The arrival of Rupa brings about a change in him. Both decide to get married. But, Raju’s friends poisons Rupa’s mind against him. Her outburst shatters him. He goes to his music teacher Maya for support but her husband kills her when he sees both of them together. Raju escapes from there and takes shelter in an ashram. His guru teaches him that service to mankind is the greatest service anyone can offer. Raju renounces family life. He gets arrested for maya’s murder charges, but Maya’s husband confesses his crime and Raju is released. He goes to meet his ailing mother. After his mother’s death he experiences a struggle within him. But, he is able to overcome his weaknesses and chooses the life of an ascetic dedicated to service of mankind.
