My Horrible Experience Of Applying To Internships In Bangladesh

A bit of background before you get into this video.

I am a Freshman at UMich who had to do the entire first year from home. Due to the US Embassy being closed, I didn’t have a visa. According to the rules, I couldn’t get a job in the US. So, to utilize my time, I applied to several places in Bangladesh. And here is the tale of the horrible experience.

In short, the system lacks a lot of professionalism and efficiency. People don’t value your time and if you’re looking for an internship without completing your bachelors (completely opposite elsewhere where you look for internships from your first year of college itself) they won’t care.

Just a final disclaimer, as I have already mentioned it in the video, I am not putting fingers on any company or individual.

Something is wrong with the SYSTEM.

Do share if you find this helpful. If we really need to do something for the tech in Bangladesh, we should not only build successful products; we should build a successful system.
