War crime trials are moral duty of Sheikh Hasina's govt: Bangladesh professor

Dhaka, Jan 01 (ANI): Vice Chancellor of the European University of Bangladesh Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan has stated that it is the moral responsibility of the Sheikh Hasina government to conduct the war crime trials in Bangladesh. He appreciated the initiative taken by the present government and said that it was one of the election commitments of the elected party. He further said that the criminals in no way should go unpunished. A war crimes tribunal, which was set up in 2010, requires wrapping up investigations of all those who were accused, as the government aims to finish their trials before Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s five-year term ends.
