Gadar 2, also known as Rebellion 2 with the subtitle “The Katha Continues,” is a 2023 Indian movie in the Hindi language belonging to the period action drama genre. The film was both directed and produced by Anil Sharma, with the screenplay penned by Shaktimaan Talwar. Serving as a follow-up to the 2001 film “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,” this sequel features Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their respective roles from the original film. In Gadar 2’s storyline, Tara Singh returns to Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 to rescue his incarcerated son.
Gadar 2 had its theatrical debut on the 11th of August, 2023. The film achieved substantial commercial success, accumulating a worldwide box office earnings of more than ₹596.84 crore (equivalent to US$75 million).
