ঝিনাইদহ সদরে ইজিবাইক চালক শাখাওয়াত হোসেন হত্যা মামলায় প্রধান পরিকল্পনাকারী জসিম মিয়াকে গ্রেফতার করেছে পুলিশ।
বুধবার রাতে ঢাকার সাভার এলাকা থেকে তাকে গ্রেফতার করে ডিবি পুলিশের সাইবার ক্রাইম ইনভেস্টিগেশন সেল।
বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে সংবাদ সম্মেলনে পুলিশ সুপার আশিকুর রহমান জানায়, গত ১৫ জুন রাতে সদর উপজেলার চাপড়ী গ্রামের মাঠে ইজিবাইক ছিনতাইকারীরা শাখাওয়াত হোসেনকে ছুরিকাঘাত করে হত্যা করে। এ ঘটনায় পরদিন নিহতের পিতা বাদি হয়ে সদর থানায় অজ্ঞাতদের আসামী করে হত্যা মামলা দায়ের করে। মামলা দায়েরের পর ডিবি পুলিশের সাইবার ক্রাইম ইনভেস্টিগেশন সেল তথ্য প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহার করে মুল পরিকল্পনাকারী জসিমের অবস্থান শনাক্ত করে গ্রেফতার করে। ছিনতাইয়ে বাঁধা দেওয়ায় ছুরিকাঘাতে তাকে হত্যা করা হয়েছে। এতে ৩ থেকে ৫ জন জড়িত বলে প্রাথমিক ভাবে ধারণা করছে পুলিশ।

Jasim Mia, the main planner in the case of the murder of easybike driver Shakhawat Hossain in Jhenaidah Sadar, has been arrested by the police.
Cyber Crime Investigation Cell of DB Police arrested him from Savar area of Dhaka on Wednesday night.
Superintendent of Police Ashikur Rahman said in a press conference on Thursday afternoon that Shakhawat Hossain was stabbed to death by easybike robbers in the field of Chapari village of Sadar Upazila on the night of June 15. In this incident, the father of the victim became the plaintiff and filed a murder case against unknown persons at the Sadar police station. After filing the case, the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell of the DB Police identified and arrested the mastermind Jasim using information technology. He was stabbed to death for obstructing the robbery. Initially, the police believe that 3 to 5 people are involved.
