Discussion on Public Interest Litigation in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan

Law and Social Movements in south Asia was organised by Human Rights Law Network which was held at Jawaharlal Nehru University ,Convention Centre dated from 16th Aug 2013 to 20th Aug 2013.besides India legal Experts were called from Pakistan, Nepal , Sri Lanka & Afghanistan as well as the human rights Institutions were also Called.

The Workshop was attended by Lawyers, human rights Activists, Professor and Students. The Second session delivered by Asad Jamal Pakistan Lawyer and discussion topic was Public Interest Litigation in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Meanwhile other issues discussed in the meeting were as Justice Verma Committee Report, Reproductive Rights, Disability Rights & Health Rights, Criminal Justice, Violence and Discrimination against minorities and use of the Law Right to Food in South Asia. So as to understand better the law and Social Movements of South Asia
