Synopsis:::
The story is as like any other young girl, Bharati dreams of a happy married life. After her parent’s death, Bharati finds place at her cousin’s residence where she is mistreated and made to work like a household assistance. As she comes of age, her sister in law is more eager to have her married off to a distant relative Bhola in a far-off village who had a childhood ill health whereas her brother and her companion attempts to suit her match to a rich and refined young man named Biram. However, Biram declines the suit as he is hesitant about the lady’s upbringing and also because he intends to get married only after a few years. Therefore, Bharati is married off to the former suitor where she starts witnessing extreme unhappiness because of poverty and her husband’s ill health. But Bharati never lets go off her charming and happy go lucky nature. Three years later she meets Biram who sees through her condition and blames himself for it. He promises her all the happiness she had dreamt of, if she would come along with him. But she does not, instead, continues to fulfill her responsibilities as a doting wife.
