गुजरात के मोरबी में मच्छु नदी पर बने केबल ब्रिज के अचानक टूट जाने से कई लोग नदी में गिर गए. हादसे के बाद इलाके में अफरा-तफरी का माहौल बन गया. इस हादसे में मरने वालों की संख्या 141 पहुंच गई है.

छठ पूजा में सूर्य भगवान और माता छठी की पूजा की जाती है. छठ पर्व में महिलाएं 36 घंटे का व्रत रखती हैं. इस पर्व को सूर्य षष्ठी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है. छठ का पर्व साल में दो बार आता है. छठ की शुरुआत 28 अक्टूबर को नहाय खाय के साथ हुई थी और इस महापर्व का समापन 31 अक्टूबर को उगते हुए सूर्य को अर्घ्य देने के साथ हो रहा है.

Chhath started on 28th October with a bath and the festival ends with offering Arghya to the rising sun on 31st October.

Many people fell into the river due to the sudden collapse of the cable bridge over the Machhu river in Morbi, Gujarat. After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the area. The death toll in this accident has reached 141.
