THREE SUSPECTS IN LONDON TUBE BOMB
Three suspects are being questioned by police over the Parsons Green tube bomb attack. Amber Rudd claims “good progress” has been made. The Times reports that the Tube attack suspect was arrested because he was wearing a distinctive red hat that matched CCTV footage from the crime scene. Meanwhile the i reports that neighbors are rallying round the foster parents, who were looking after one of the suspects. It is reported the family have adopted over 300 children, and at least 8 refugees.

JOHNSON £350 MILLION SPAT
The Times reports that Boris Johnson is being left “politically isolated”, after his Brexit article over the weekend. Michael Gove has refused to support intervention, with Amber Rudd saying the Foreign Secretary was ‘backseat driving’. There is speculation the article in the Daily Telegraph was an example of Johnson showing May’s total lack of authority. In the article, Boris Johnson limited any Brexit Divorce Bill to £10 billion, and any transitional period to no more than a year.

The Guardian reports that Sir David Norgrove, the Head of UK Statistics Authority, has criticised Boris Johnson for a ‘misuse’ of official figures, over his use of £350 million a week remark in his article. Johnson claims Dr Norgrove is misrepresenting his writing.

BANGLADESH REFUGEE CRISIS
The FT reports that Bangladesh is restricting movement of Rohingya Muslims, as it is struggling to cope with the number of people arriving.Bangladesh Police say more than 400,000 refugees have arrived in last 3 weeks. This comes as people continune to flee the crackdown for Myanmar security forces, which the UN has described as a “textbook case of ethnic cleansing”.

NHS SPA PLANS
The Telegraph reports that NHS Chiefs have drawn up plans for “health campuses”, where swimming classes, beauty treatments and aerobics will be offered. The Telegraph says this is to encourage people to take more care of themselves, instead of treating healthcare as a “sickness service”.
