Mitali Express||Best way to travel India to Bangladesh Via Train

I’m excited to share some information regarding new Development between India and Bangladesh.

Have you ever thought of travelling to another country from India via Train?

Here Bangladesh and India has started new Train Mitali Express from Our west Bengal New Jalpaiguri to Bangladesh Dhaka Cantonment railway station.

The train is running weekly 2 days from both countries and have a capacity of around 700-800 passengers to carry.

The train is having A/C chair car and A/C First class chair car from India to Bangladesh and A/C chair car and A/C First class chair and A/c First class Sleeper from Bangladesh to India.

Timing and other details you can check online.

For Indian passengers to book tickets need to visit NJP railway station where you need to fill reservation form and share details like your date of journey, your name, passport and visa details accordingly you will get you tickets.
After getting tickets you need to fill online health declaration form 72 hours prior to your journey

and take print out along with your vaccination certificate , valid visa and password.

Then you can go to station 2-3 hours before your train departure time for immigration and customs clearance, after all process done you can board the train.

In train you will have tickets checking by Indian TT and later by Bangladesh TT.

Snacks, tea/coffee will be severed in train however there is no pantry car available in this train.

After reaching Dhaka Cantonment station you will need to fill one additional form for Indian citizens which will be given either in train or at immigration counter, after filling you need to show health declaration letter, your passport and visa and you will get arrival stamp.
