We now cross back to Abongile Jantjies for the East London tavern stampede. Initial reports indicate that a stampede was triggered inside the Eastern Cape tavern after patrons were sprayed with a substance or poisoned. At least 17 people are dead and a number of people are injured. The exact detail of what transpired is not known but emergency services are on the scene.
