Dead Sea – where people remain floated on water !!

420 meter below sea level – Dead sea is actually a lake which is indeed dying everyday. Water is evaporating everyday and the source of water towards it has been diverted by the countries around it for irrigation work at other places. The water there is 9 times more saltier than the normal sea water. 30% of the water is salt – which makes the water heavier than human body. This is why people remain floated on the water of Dead sea. The water is so heavy that people can hardly swim on it. Yes, they remain floated but can’t swim or finds it difficult to twist. The water is harmful for the face and eyes. Every year thousands of tourists visit Jordan to see and feel this amazing fact.

Because of its extremely high salt content, no animal or plant life can survive in the Dead Sea. So why do tourists from around the world flock to bathe in its deep blue waters? Clarissa Ward takes us on a trip to this exotic and unique destination
