VILLAGE HOMESTAY IN RURAL BANGLADESH: Experiencing real Bangladeshi hospitality and culture.

Sometimes in our travels we come across places and people that are so special we want to keep them a secret! It’s hard to describe the outstanding hospitality and incredible culture we experienced and shared at a village homestay in Ekduaria Village, Bangladesh.

Our first glimpse at sunrise saw us surrounded by rice fields, ponds and lakes, mango trees, jackfruit, farmers, cows, chickens and children playing as they got ready for school.

And our first task was to get what we needed for breakfast – milk a cow – collect vegetables from the farms and garden and help cook it in the mud kitchen outside…
