Synopsis:
The story of revolves around a village girl Shibani (Labnoni Sarkar). Bibhabati Debi (Supriya Debi) decides to make Shibani her daughter-in-law.Thus she fixes Shibani’s marriage with her only son Subhankar Chowdhury (Tapas Pal). But Subhankar didn’t like to get married with a village girl as he is blindly in love with a modern girl named Meena. Though he was forced to marry Shibani, he never accept her as his wife and continuously misbehaved with her. But she get a mother’s love from Bibhabati Debi. Ultimately, she becomes a doctor, Dr. Shrabani Chowdhury. She starts practicing in her husband’s childhood friend Dr. Jayanta Ghosh’s (Abhishek Chatterjee) new nursing home. In due course of time Subhankar comes to know that Meena, whom he loved blindly actually loves another person who is richer than him. His heart breaks. His habit of drinking ultimately causes him stomach ache, as a results of gastric ulcer. As his condition worsens he is admitted in his friend Jayanta’s nursing home. Under Dr. Shrabani Ghosh, his treatment starts. Though previously Subhankar used to think that Dr. Shrabani is an arrogant lady but later he changes his opinion and gradually falls in love with her. Dr.Shrabani also takes a great care of her husband. But when Subhankar proposes to her she refuses and suggests him to go back to his wife. After being discharged from the nursing home, Subhankar discusses with his mother about Shibani, and tells her that he wants to apologize for his misdeeds. At that point of time, Bibhabati Devi reveals that Dr.Shrabani is actually his wife Shibani. But it was too late as she has already departed for London. But luck favours at last and she comes back.
