“Sex Tourists” paid for by Home Office
You really could not make it up, but apparently according to sources those charged with removing people from the United Kingdom have been using the opportunity to engage in sexual tourism.
Apparently, for the last 10 years those charged and paid for by the Home Office through one of the private companies it uses, Mitie, have been, according to whistleblowers being using their overnight stays to avail themselves of sex workers.
It seems that a dozen or so people have regularly been using sex workers after completing the removal and waiting to come to come back to the UK.
One individual was reported to have a “little black book” for when he was abroad, according to the whistleblowers, favourite destinations for these sexual predators include
Nairobi in Kenya, Johannesburg in South Africa, Hanoi in Vietnam, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Bucharest in Romania.
Thankfully one of the Home Office contractors was shocked at what he had seen,
as apparently on one removal a couple just had a few drinks in the bar, nothing wrong there after a hard day’s work ruining someone’s life while the other 3 then went off to see sex workers.
The reason for this is disturbing given that the tax payer is ultimately funding this “sexual tourism” as Another contractor said:
“The money paid by these Home Office contractors using sex workers while abroad doing deportations goes further than it would in the UK.”
It seems that, as another individual said
“This practice among Home Office contractors has gone on for as long as I can remember …
A lot of hotels, especially in places like Nairobi, are full of prostitutes and they are cheap. It’s a thing some of the men do because it’s there, it’s available.”
In my view deportation, unless it is for a criminal offence or removal is harsh and often inhumane in circumstances where all the migrant has sought to do is escape poverty,
it is disgusting that the tax payer should be paying for those accompanying the migrants to be engaging in sexual tourism and exploiting women.
Will anything be done, will the Secretary of State apologise or order an enquiry and if it turns out that these accounts, which have the ring of truth of them are true?
Probably not, though if true she ought to as this is just a further indication of the complete loss of control the Home Office has over not only the asylum / migrant process but also the removal progress.
At present all the HO have said is that they will ask Mitie to investigate –
this again shows the true “value” of sub contracting out work that ought to be done by properly accountable HO staff.
That this is a disgrace is not just my view but also that of many charities who have rightly expressed deep concern and what is clearly not only an abuse of tax payers money but directly supports the exploitation of women.
