#বাংলাদেশের #ট্রাভেল #ডেস্টিনেশন গুলোর মধ্যে #সেন্টমার্টিন অত্যন্ত জনপ্রিয় গুলোর মধ্যে একটি । সেন্ট মার্টিন বাংলাদেশের একমাত্র #কোরাল #দ্বীপ । #বঙ্গোপসাগরের কোল ঘেঁষে জেগে থাকা ৮ কিলোমিটারের এই দ্বীপটিতে প্রথম কবে #মানুষ পৌঁছেছিল তার নির্দিষ্ট কোন #ইতিহাস জানা যায় নাই । কিন্তু মধ্যযুগের ইতিহাস চিন্তা বলে সেই সময়ের #আরব্য #ব্যাবসায়ীরা #দক্ষিণ #পূর্ব #এশিয়ার চলাচলের সময় বিশ্রাম নিতে এই দ্বীপ ব্যবহার করতো । সেন্টমার্টিন দ্বীপকে এই নাম ছাড়াও আরও বিভিন্ন নামে ডাকা হয় । উদাহরণস্বরূপ #নারিকেল #জিঞ্জিরা । জিঞ্জিরা নামটি আরব বণিকেরা দিলেও এলাকার মানুষ বিশ্বাস করে এখানে এক সময় জীন পরীর অস্তিত্ব ছিল । তাই এর নাম জিঞ্জিরা । তবে বেশ পরে এসেছে নারিকেল শব্দটি । পুরো ৮ কি.মি. এর দ্বীপটি যেন নারিকেল গাছ দিয়ে সাজানো কোনো #বাগান । ফলে একে নারিকেল এর সাথে জিঞ্জিরা বললেও ভুল হবে না । #টেকনাফ উপজেলায় জেটিতে তে নামার পর অনেক লঞ্চ পাওয়া যাবে সেন্টমার্টিন পৌঁছানোর জন্য । লঞ্চভেদে খরচ পরবে ৫০০-৮৫০ টাকা । নাফ নদী পেরিয়ে এক পশে বাংলাদেশ আর অন্য প্রান্তে #মায়ানমারকে রেখে নীল জলের সাগরে নামতেই পানির মায়া কাছে টানতে ইচ্ছা করবে । যতটুক জানা যায় এই দ্বীপে ১৩ টি পরিবার ব্রিটিশদের উৎসাহে বসবাস শুরু করে । এরপর সেখান থেকে ১০০ টি পরিবার সৃষ্টি হয় । বলা হয় যে পুরো সেন্টমার্টিন দ্বীপটি এখন এই ১১৩ টি পরিবারের বংশবিস্তার । দ্বীপে নেমে কিংবা ঢাকা থেকেও থাকার জায়গা ঠিক করা যেতে পারে । স্থান ও সুবিধা ভেদে টাকার পরিমান কমতে ও বাড়তে পারে ।
