En route from Bogota to the tiny Caribbean island of San Andres, the 131 passengers and crew on board Aires Flight 8250 are rocked by a major tropical storm. As the turbulence intensifies, they are pummelled by high winds and heavy rain on their final approach . At 1:47am Aires Flight 8250 slams into the ground just short of the runway.
The pilots claim the weather is to blame, but investigators ultimately reveal the cause of the accident was an error in judgement.
