First Bangladesh Tour Together, Feb/Mar 2022 (Dhaka, Comilla, Cox’s Bazar, Narsingdi)

Our first trip together to Bangladesh. Such a wonderful time to meet everyone. We definitely miss everyone and the beautiful country of Bangladesh. We started our trip at my partner’s hometown Comilla. Our family’s home was so beautiful with so many fresh fruits and vegetables to eat. In Comilla we did a range of things like digging in the pond for fish, feeding ducks and chickens and eating fresh made Bangali home made food. We then did a family tour to CoxsBazar where we were left speechless looking at the big blue ocean. We had never seen the ocean look to big. We had a great full day there where we started with a short hike, swam in the ocean, had a great Bangali lunch, rode ATVs into the sunset and finally finished the night at Amma’s friends house. Where I learned literally every elder eats Paan (green leafs with tobacco). Afterwards we headed to Norshindi as we spent time at the Heritage Resort to meet some friends. Beautiful big resort with many amenities creating a great time with friends. Finally we finished the last stretch of our trip at Apus house in Dhaka. Over there we got to do some shopping, eat a bigger variety of foods like Futchka and see more friends and family. We finished the last few days saying goodbye to friends and finally to family. It wasn’t easy. While we’re happy to be back home we definitely miss the people and places we saw in beautiful Bangladesh.
