Armed Robbery Caught On Camera In A Jewellery Store In Bangladesh

Robbers looted about 200 tolas of gold ornaments from a jewellery shop in Faridpur district town on Wednesday night.

Monoj Karmakar, Manager of the Meghna Jewelers, said a group of 5-7 robbers stormed into their shop at Niltuli Swarnakar potti in the town around 8:15pm, according to a news agency report.

The attackers took the employees of the shop hostage at gunpoint and looted about 200 tolas of gold ornaments.

They managed to flee the scene blasting 6-7 crude bombs, he said.

Faridpur additional police super Qamruzzaman said on information, police rushed in and recovered an unexploded crude bomb from the spot, adding that they started a drive to arrest the criminals.
