Bangladesh Hindu-Muslim Clashes | What Led To The Durga Puja Violence

Violence marred Durga Puja celebrations in Bangladesh. According to reports, some unidentified miscreants allegedly vandalised Hindu idols at a temple in Cumilla. Reports of alleged vandalism led to violent clashes in several areas on October 13.

According to a Bangladesh daily, the situation went out of control and riots gripped a number of Durga Puja venues. As the situation escalated, Bangladesh govt deployed paramilitary force in 22 districts. Reports say that at least 3 people were killed and several others injured in the riots.
