Tsunami waves struck Japan’s coastal regions after a series of strong earthquakes on its western coastline on Monday. People have been ordered to evacuate following a total of 21 quakes with a magnitude above 4.0 hitting the country.

The PSLV-C58 mission lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 9:10 am IST as the world welcomed 2024.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi requested people to come to Ayodhya at their convenience once the consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir has been completed on January 22.

India reported 636 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths in the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday. The active caseload rose to 4,394 from 4,309 the previous day.
