Sonadia Island is an island located in Qutubjom Union in Maheshkhali Upazila of Cox’s Bazar District, Bangladesh. It is also known as the Island of Biodiversity and this island is one of the tourist destinations for those who are thirsty for natural beauty.
In this video, I’m sharing Sonadia Dip. Sonadia Island is a small island of about 9 square kilometres offshore of the Cox’s Bazar coast in Chittagong Division, Bangladesh. Sonadia is located at Kutubjom Union in Maheshkhali Upazila, 15 km north-west of Cox’s Bazar District Headquarters.
Sonadia Maheshkhali is separated from the main island by a canal.
.It’s one of the most popular beaches in the country, and it’s also renowned for its crystal clear water, soft sand, and stunning sandbar.

This island, a reservoir of extraordinary beauty, is located in the ocean, 7 km northwest of Cox’s Bazar city. The area of the island is about 9 square kilometers. Beaches on three sides, sand dunes covered with sea creepers, Kea-Nishindar bushes, Parabans with small and big canals. A variety of species of waterfowl make the island unique. It is separated from the mainland of Cox’s Bazar by the Maheshkhali Kennel.

It is the main dry fish production center of the country. The mangrove forest and coastal forest, deep blue water in the sea, kea forest, red crabs, various types of seabirds here impress the tourists.[1] This island has been selected for the development of Bangladesh’s deep sea port.
