CMPD: Suspect tied to multiple sexual assaults taken into custody

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said a suspect has been taken into custody following an investigation into multiple sexual assault cases.

CMPD said the suspect is accused of sexually assaulting multiple women, including a case Saturday morning.

“We had a case this morning where the victim was able to provide a very accurate timeline and accurate description,” Lt. Jim Ivie with CMPD said.
