Synopsis:::
Kankana was a village in Bengal where Nutu lived. He was a freedom fighter and loved a girl Kalyani. When he was in jail, Kalyani got married to someone else. When Nutu was released from jail, he came to know everything and later married to a simple village girl Bimala. Later he joined as a teacher in a small village school. The zamindar Mukherjee of Kangana was very clever, he tried to take all the land from poor farmers, and as a result, he did the same with Mahabharat. Nutu revolted against the zamindars and sue them. He took his law gown and helped Mahabharat to win the case. As a result Nutu became famous and within few years and won the election. Power helped him become more corrupted, but his elder son and wife Bimala fought against him and worked hard. At last, Nutu understood his fault and came to his old values.
