This video is a Bangla travel vlog featuring my tour to Chittagong, Bangladesh from Australia, my homeland and the town of my childhood. In this episode our tour to Chittagong Bangladesh continues as I went to a famous place of Chittagong which some believes to be the tomb or majar or shrine of great Sufi Bayejid Bostami, who was a holly person and an iconic figure of Sufism and Islam. Originally Bayejid Bostami or Bayezid Bostami or Baijid Bostami was born in Persia in a city in modern day Iraq and devoted his life to serve islam and helped spread the religion islam. Many people in Bangladesh believes Bayejid Bostami or Bayezid Bostami or Baijid Bostami has visited Bangladesh and his tomb or majar or shrine is in a location in Chittagong. That place got it’s name from this great sufi and the local name is baji bostan or bazi bostan. In the majar or shrine complex there is a water tank or pukur where there are manu tortoises or turtles which many believes are actually supernatural beings as jinni or jin or gene. I visited this Bayejid bostami out of curiosity and witnessed how faith can drive people do many deeds which are strange and even against the Islamic faith.
I live in Adelaide, Australia one of the best city in the world and Australia to live and Bangladesh is unfortunately one of the worst country to live where the Dhaka city is one of the worst city to live. However this is my home country and I have many memories on Dhaka and other parts in Bangladesh as Chittagong, Manikganj. So we are quite excited to come to Bangladesh from Australia this time. This time we will stay in Bangladesh for a month and it is like tourism as we don’t have much work to do. So it will be a family trip from Australia to Dhaka to see the friends and family and enjoy what Bangladesh has to offer. As Bangladeshi migrants the foremost Australian value we have adopted is perhaps the love for traveling, and why not – Australia is one of the most amazing country for traveling, and in my view the best country to travel. Australia has many unique things to see and experience as tourist or local, which make this country a unique place – like no other countries in the world. As an immigrant in Australia I feel lucky about that and I believe my immigration to Australia is worthy. But no travel compares to the travel to Bangladesh, my home country.
