River Village Life in SYLHET | Surma River | Solo Travel

Life along the Surma River was quite interesting. People live extremely close to the edge of the water. This is where they bathe, wash their clothes, wash their dishes, and play. Such a raw and open lifestyle.

It was very coincidental that I was approached by the police and then this man on a bike who was more than willing to show me around their area.

After I shut the camera off, and started walking back to my hotel, I was surrounded by a group of school children who tried their best to use the english that they had learned, and then 2 more of his friends approached me and invited me in to a local restaurant where they bought tea for me. Super kind people! I enjoyed my time exploring the Surma River! 🙌🏼
