Tens of thousands rally in Bangladesh to demand new elections

Thousands of supporters of the main opposition party have held a rally in Bangladesh’s capital, Dhaka.
Supporters of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and that new elections be held.
The protesters say the government has failed to curb rising prices and that authorities have tried to suppress criticism.
