The king shows Gopal a letter from the Nawab. Gopal reads the letter and finds out that Nawab has said that he will take away the kingdom as Krishnachandra had not paid the Nawab for 2 years and almost 5000 Mohars are pending. The king blames this on his Mantri when Gopal says that solving this issue is more important than knowing who did it.
