Bangla Full movie 2017, “The Dark Ray” the film tells a story of a girl named krishna who born Blind in very poor family, the film depicts the true color of our so called modern society which boast of its rich culture & values. Starring Chandansubash Paul, Doyel Roy Nandy Saswati Basu chatterjee, Suman Bhattacharya,Swati Ganguly and directed by Animesh Bose.

Synopsis :

With so much advancement in Science & Culture & with the advent of Internet the world has practically shrunken today. But the age old evil customs & practices of our society still exist. Here we depict one particular aspect –

“Girl Child”
Birth of a girl is still considered a curse in our society today. Either the female fetus is aborted, the girl child is killed right after birth or she is married off at a very early & tender age.In other words, society always finds a way to dispose a girl child as fast & early as possible. Then there is this evil side of exploitation of girls in many different ways, which is very much disturbing & is increasing at an alarming rate in India.
The short film “The Dark Ray”, tells a story of a girl named ‘Krishna” who was born in a very poor family. Her parents sold her off to a childless rich couple in lieu of large amount of money. When the baby grew up her foster parents realized that she was born blind. They refused to take responsibility & carry the burden of the blind child for the rest of their life. Unable to trace her original parents, they abandoned her in front of an ‘Ashram’ gate – which was an orphanage. But in the ashram Krishna was forced into begging & eventually got trapped in the dark & murky world of flesh trade.
The film depicts the true color of our so called modern society which boast of its rich culture & values. The story spans from the time Krishna was born till she was 22 years of age & had become a high profile prostitute… throwing many inevitable questions at the viewers.
