Story behind the song!
In relation Yeasmin Ali is Zulfe’s aunty from Bangladesh who is a cultural activist and a singer. When Zulfe use to visit Bangladesh he regularly attended functions where Yeasmin Ali would sing various Bangla songs and this was one song that caught his attention. Around 2008-2009 they both had attempted to record this song but never got round to completing it however it had been a project left within their hearts and a much loved song they really wanted to complete.

By 2019 when Yeasmin Ali visited the UK for a short trip, there was no time wasting at all. Zulfe instantly made up the music and got down to recording her vocals for the track and thus they were on the way to finally getting this song done as they wished a long time ago.

Having completed a number of songs together (Baul Bondhu, We’re on the same boat brother) alongside their family group The Ali’s, they finally decided to get this song on board with everyone and release for listening.

We have been ever so proud to have almost the whole Ali family clan joining onto this project with us, it has been absolutely amazing. A lovely concept arranged by Maria Ali & then executed by Talbida Ali.
