Barguna is a town in Barguna district in southern Bangladesh. It is the administrative headquarter and the largest town of Barguna district and a part of Barisal Division.
There are different opinions about the origin of the name “Barguna”. The general belief is that the name is derived from Bengali name “Baragun” meaning high tide. The remote past wood traders from the northern region had to wait here for Baragun (high tide) to pull their boats against strong current of the Khakdon river. While others say, Barguna was named after an eminent Magh people who settled there at the very beginning of the habitation. As to the concept of history and folk, Barguna was named the official name likely in 1871, through the creation of a Patuakhali subdivision under then Bakerganj District (present Barisal).

১ম দিন -সুরঞ্জনা ইকো পার্ক – হরিণঘাটা পর্যটন কেন্দ্র – লালদিয়া বন এবং সমুদ্র সৌকত।

বরগুনা শহর থেকে সুরঞ্জনা ইকো পার্কে ৪০ টাকা রিক্সা ভাড়া এবং রঞ্জনা ইকো পার্কে প্রবেশ মুল্য ৩০ টাকা।
রঞ্জনা ইকো পার্কে থেকে রিক্সা নিয়ে বরইতলা ফেরিঘাটে যাবেন ভাড়া ২০ টাকা।
ফেরিঘাট থেকে টলারে করে ২০ টাকা দিয়ে চলে যাবেন বাইনচটকি ফেরিঘাটে।
বাইনচটকি থেকে ২০০ টাকা বাইক ভাড়া নিয়ে চলে যাবেন হরিণঘাটায় এবং টিকেট এর মুল্য ১৩ টাকা।
হরিণঘাটা পর্যটন কেন্দ্র থেকে লালদিয়া বন এবং সমুদ্র সৌকত টলার ভাড়া ৬০০ থেকে ৮০০ টাকা ।

২য় দিন –
শুভসন্ধ্যা সমুদ্র সৌকতে যেতে হলে বরগুনা থেকে বাইকে করে চাইলতাতলি খেয়া ঘাটে যেতে হবে যেখানে বাইক ভাড়া ১০০ টাকা।

চাইলতা তলি খেয়াঘাট থেকে বগি খেয়াঘাট যেতে ২০ টাকা খেয়া ভাড়া দিতে হবে।

বগি থেকে ২০০ টাকা বাইক ভাড়া দিয়ে সরাসরি চলে যাবেন সুভোসন্ধ্যা সমুদ্র সৌকতে।

সুভোসন্ধ্যা থেকে টেংরাগিরি ১০০ টাকা বাইক ভাড়া।

টেংরাগিরির টিকেট ২৫ টাকা ।
