কোনো পুলিশ সদস্য যদি অপরাধ করে থাকে তা পুরো বাহিনীর উপর বর্তাবে না বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন পুলিশের সাবেক আইজিপি ।
তিনি বলেন, ‘কোনো পুলিশ সদস্য যদি অপরাধ করে থাকে, তবে এটা তার ব্যক্তিগত অপরাধ। এ অপরাধের দায় পুলিশ বাহিনীর উপর বর্তাবে না। যেসব পুলিশ সদস্য অপরাধ করছে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে বিভাগীয় ব্যবস্থা নেয়া হচ্ছে, বরখাস্ত করা হচ্ছে, তদন্তের পর অপরাধ প্রমাণিত হলে শাস্তি প্রদান করা হচ্ছে। কোনো পুলিশ সদস্যই আইনের উর্ধ্বে নয়।’
The former IGP of the police has said that if a policeman commits a crime, it will not affect the entire force.
“If a policeman has committed a crime, it is his personal crime,” he said. The police force will not be held responsible for this crime. Departmental action is being taken against the policemen who are committing crimes, they are being dismissed and if the crime is proved after investigation, punishment is being given. No policeman is above the law. ‘
