Thanchi | BANDARBAN Bangladesh | ডিম পাহাড় হয়ে থানচি
We went from Dhaka to Thanchi (via Dim Pahar).
Thanchi is probably the remotest place in Bangladesh. It falls under the Bandarban District of Chittagong Hill Tracts and it shows up as a minuscule spot on the guide of Bangladesh. CHT is generally lovely and everything about the area, the way of life, individuals, and their variety arouses the interests of even the most relaxed of explorers. Thanchi is the same in such a manner notwithstanding its size.
Thanchi is 3,500 feet above ocean level and one can envision the lofty excursion you want to attempt to arrive at the objective. From Bandarban, you can enlist a ‘Chander gari’ in the event that you have a huge group of explorers of say around 20 individuals. It would cost around BDT 6000. However, assuming you are in little numbers, the nearby transport from Bandarban to Thanchi can be a decent encounter. It would take you around Tk 250-300 for every individual and is a four-five hour venture from Bandarban. The transports for the most part start from the Thanchi transport stand; ask anybody in Bandarban and they will let you know how to go there. The main issue is that the transport that handles that street simply goes there one time per day and the last transport that leaves Thanchi is at 2 pm. The distance of the area and furthermore the geology makes an evening venture a dangerous experience. During the blustery season, Thanchi stays cut off from the remainder of the country. The best way to arrive at it then, at that point, is by crossing the waterway Sangu.
I took the neighborhood transport ride from Bandarban. The transport go truly delayed up the tight streets, which are overwhelming with their perilous defining moments. However, you can excuse yourself for failing to remember the risks as you stay mesmerized by the lovely slopes that lie before you.
