Xinhua, June 27: DHAKA In Bangladesh, the Chinese company that built the Padma Bridge staged an inauguration ceremony on Saturday.

The bridge will serve as a vital transportation hub for establishing direct contact between the nation’s capital, Dhaka, and 21 districts in the south, according to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who spoke at the ceremony’s opening.
According to her, the bridge is anticipated to increase Bangladesh’s GDP by 1.23 percentage points and lower poverty rates by 0.84 percentage points annually.
