We are on the Chili Island, in the middle of one of the largest rivers of the world, in Bangladesh, where no foreigners have set foot since at least the last 10 years.
When we approach the village in the middle of the island, children start crying and running away from us. This is the first time they have seen white people on their little island in the middle of the Jamuna river, in Bangladesh.
Here the people work hard all day in a very scenic landscape, surrounded on all sides by water. As long as you can see, on the sandy soil there are chili bushes everywhere, the main product of the island. This is also how we imagined the name of this place, as Chili Island.
How do people live and what happened to the children who got so scared of seeing the first white people in their lives?

We are in Bangladesh to explore the Bangladesh culture, Bengali food, blend with the Bangladesh people and see how life is in the Bay of Bengal. Bangladesh has welcomed us for the past 3 months and we are in love with this colorful country!
