‘Don’t expect India to…’: Russia hails Modi government for being unbiased on Ukraine crisis

After facing criticism from the West and questions on India’s stand over the Russia-Ukraine crisis, Russia has now praised India. Russian chargé d’affaires Roman Babushkin said that the Vladimir Putin government welcomes India’s unbiased stand on the situation in Ukraine. “India, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, is playing the vital role of a responsible global power, and has adopted an independent and balanced approach to global affairs”, he said.
