Life at Bangladesh Border | Kurikhal Village in Shella Bholaganj | East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya

In this video we have shown the journey of Bholaganj beyond Cherrapunji. After our trip to Cherrapunji, we traveled to the East Khasi Hills in Meghalaya to the home of a Bengali community living on the Bangladesh border. We had lunch with a Bengali community in this village named Kurikhal. The journey was very difficult. The limestone going to Bangladesh goes through this route, so the road is very bad and trucks are too much in numbers here. On the way, you have to pass through dust and mud.

After visiting Kurikhal village we reached Thariya river. This is a very beautiful river. Wahrew Bridge is the special thing here. You must come here to see it. This river is also like the Umangot river. However, fewer tourists come here. That’s because dust, mud and trucks are very much visible here too.

After this journey we returned to Shillong till late in the night. On our way to Shillong, we took out money from an ATM and also visited a village. In this village, we tried to get to know Khasi culture and Meghalaya closely…
