Bangladesh – week 3: Workshops & Harley's Bday!!

After forming the two youth groups, we had to conduct 2 workshops about important skills. On the Thursday, we delivered our 1st workshop on leadership followed by communication & facilitation on the Friday. Both of these workshops included loads of interactive games and activities to allow for whole group discussion on what makes a good/bad leader or is good/bad communication and ways in which they can be improved. Educating the members about these skills via our workshops ensures the youth groups have a good understanding about what they need to continually be a successful youth group, so they can effectively promote positive change within their community.

On the Saturday we were lucky enough to visit the fair which had so many stalls with beautiful scarves, dresses etc, food and some funfair type stalls e.g. shoot balloon with a gun. We then celebrated Harley’s bday having a cake and water fight. Definitely a very memorable week for sure!
