வங்கதேசம் என்ற நமது அண்டை நாட்டினை பற்றி நம்மில் பலருக்கு தெரியாது. உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய சதுப்புநிலக்காடுகளான சுந்தரவன காடுகளையும், உலகின் மூன்றாவது மிகப்பெரிய கடற்கரையையும் கொண்டுள்ள வங்கதேசம் ஒரு காலத்தில் நமது மன்னன் ராசேந்திரசோழனின் ஆதிக்கத்தின் கீழ் இருந்தது என்றால் உங்களால் நம்பமுடிகிறதா? சமீபகாலமாக பொருளாதாரத்தில் இந்தியாவையும் பின்னுக்குத்தள்ளி வேகமாக வளர்ந்து வரும் தெற்கு ஆசிய நாடுகளின் பட்டியலில் முதலிடம் பிடித்துள்ளது. இதற்க்கு கரணம் அந்தநாட்டின் ஏற்றுமதி மற்றும் மனிதவளம்தான். ஆயத்த ஆடைகள் ஏற்றுமதியில் சீனாவுக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக இரண்டாவது இடத்தில உள்ளது இந்த வங்கதேசம். இதேபோல தமிழகத்தை பற்றி வங்கதேசத்தின ர் என்ன நினைக்கிறார்கள், வங்கதேசத்தின் சிறந்த சுற்றுலாத்தலம் எது போன்ற பல சுவசியமான கேள்விகளுக்கு என்னுடைய வங்கதேச நண்பனின் பேட்டியும் உள்ளது.

The national animal of Bangladesh is the Royal Bengal tiger and. Bangladesh has worlds largest mangrove forest the ‘Sundarbans’, which is home to numerous animals and birds including the royal Bengal tigers. The Cox’s Bazaar is the third longest sea beach in the world, which is 125 km long. The currency of Bangladesh is called Bangladeshi Taka, which means ‘currency’ in Bengali. The national anthem was written by Rabindranath Tagore, who also wrote the national anthem for India as well. Recently Bangladesh economy is growing faster and Bangladesh ranks number one in the list of fastest growing south Asian countries, surpassing India. Although the Bangladesh’s economy is growing, 30% of the Bangladesh population live below the poverty line. But, the country’s overall standard of living has been improving every year and the poverty will be reduced in the future.
