Discover Bangladesh: Saint Martin’s Island

Poets call Saint Martin’s Island a piece of heaven on earth. No doubt, the phrase aptly describes the indescribable beauty of Bangladesh’s only coral island. Its’ sand dunes, long beach studded with natural sand stones, the shoreline full of colourful corals, thickets of keya (Pandanus odorifer) trees and coconut groves have turned it into a piece of heaven on earth.
Located at the southernmost tip of Bangladesh, St. Martin’s is a small continental island in the Bay of Bengal. The Island is separated from the mainland by a channel which is about 9 km wide.
During the November to March peak tourist season, Saint Martin hosts hundreds of tourists daily than ever before.
