Saoli Mitra is a veteran theater personality who has produced many classics. Saoli Mitra is the only child of Bengali Theatre’s power couple Shombhu Mitra and Tripti Mitra. Saoli Mitra’s sprawling career has many feathers attached to her cap. She formed her own theater group Pancham Vaidik which is one of the leading theater production houses in the country. Both Shombhu Mitra and Tripti Mitra were founder members of this group. Saoli Mitra has directed many contemporary plays and is known for her intellectual interpretations of many contemporary issues.
