Story of a courteous Police Inspector, Rane, intent on arresting the notorious gangster P.C. Mathur, but finds himself on trial for murder and sentenced to seven years behind bars, by being wrongly framed for the murder by Mathur. Later Rane becomes an underworld operator known as Rana, wanting to seek revenge on Mathur and killing him. He hires Jai to kill Mathur but Jai mistakenly kills somebody else.
